Car Notes |
2007.12.06 Ebay
Great Bend, United States
Up for auction is a 1994 Firebird. I am not sure if this car is a firehawk or not. It has all the correct stickers and engine badging but I can not tell if it is for sure or not. There are no interior badges that I can see, just the correct stickers on the car, the correct plates on the engine, and the correct wheels. I bought this car from a friend of mine who needed the money and did not have a place to store the car while he was in Iraq. He left last week for 18 months. I really don't know a lot about the history of the car just that he owned it for four years and being in the military only put on just over 4000 miles on it in that time. He bought the car like it is. The car is in great shape. The interior needs a vacume but other than that there are no tears of wear of any kind in the interior. It has a boost gauge, JVC cd player with remote, Rockford fosgate speakers, no sub, but sounds great, timing retarder dial, electric seat, T-tops, all black, very nice inside, looks new. The outside looks great also. The paint really shines with minimal flaws. The car has been lowered 2" all the way around and has a really mean stance, not to mention it handles like a rocket ship on rails. 17" wheels with 275/40/ZR17 tires that are brand new, 500 miles on tires, showing no wear. Four wheel discs, ABS, performance button for tranny. Tranny has a shift kit, shifts hard with no slipping. Fog lights. 2 1/2" exhaust all the way back with ceramic coated long tube headers, high flow cats, Flowmaster stainless steel muffler that sounds awesome. The motor is a LT1 350 with 103,000 miles on it. Aluminum heads, good oil pressure, uses no oil, no leaks, no weird noises, fires right up ans runs smooth. Motor has a Vortech V-1 supercharger, crane fireball HI-6R ignition with timing advance-retard control, ported intake, aftermarket billet fuel pressure regulator. Running about 9 psi boost. The car looks mean as hell and sounds mean too. I have a drag car that runs low 12's in the 1/4 mile and this car will out run it. Not for the faint of heart. With high octane fuel and the timing cranked up, this thing will go 11.80's. Also has 3.73 gears in the rear end. Now for the bad stuff. It has an exhaust leak where the header meets the head, just need a new gasket on the drivers side, the trunk release button does not work, and there is a small chip in the drivers side window glass and 2 very small chips in the paint in the same spot where it looks like someone tried to get in the car with a coat hanger. Other than that the car is in really great shape. Comes with a Hypertech power programmer. The car is set up right now running rich so it won't damage the motor. Lean it out, up the timing, run race fuel and this would really fly. It scared the crap out of me the first time I put it to the floor, haven't done it since and I'm a drag racer. If you have any questions feel free to email me. The vehicle is located in Great Bend, Kansas, 67530. Right in the center of the state. |
